" The mock turtle sighed deeply, and drew the back of one flapper across his eyes. He looked at Alice and tries to speak , but, for a minute or two, sobs choked his voice." Pg. 82
(Q) What was the reason for the mock turtle to cry? Was Alice making him feel comfortable? (P) I predict that Alice is going to try and calm the mock turtle down from crying and then give him reasons to stop crying. I think the mock turtle is going to show Alice lobsters figure he knows about. (R) I think this passage is saying that the mock turtle kind of got a little sad about wher he and Alice have went. Alice and the gryphon were keeping the mock turtle a little company.

" How the creatures order one about, and make one repeat lessons!" thought Alice ." Pg.88
(Q) Are the creatures Alice is talking about the Lobsters or other creatures? (P) I predict that Alice is going to get confused on what happened in a natural way. I think alice is going to finally leave the mock turtle and the gryphon and move on. (Q) I wonder if the mock turtle is going to cry if Alice leaves and sing a song? Is Alice leaving or is the gryphon leaving? (E) I think what the author is trying to say is that Alice is confused on how one creature can make the rest repeat the lessons it had said.
