The Girl in Wonderland

Chapter 1

First I would like to clear up that All the pictures are in black and white and intentional.For the first drawing I had I drew the rabbit because if it weren't for him the whole story wouldn't of even started.Also I wanted to draw the rabbit and how I saw him, in the book he looks so small and fragile.The way Lewis Carroll describes the rabbit makes me think that he is just a really small helpless rabbit.Also if you think about it the whole story is centered around the rabbit because she whole times Alice just wants to find that rabbit and where he is off too.

Chapter 2

In this drawing I drew Alice in her giant form.The reason for this is because I saw Alice as a different person than in the cover of the story.The way I saw Alice was with black hair and the same dress but with green eyes.Alice is the main character in this so I felt the need to include her or else this book wouldn't matter.Alice is one of the reasons why this book is what it is.The only thing is that I wish Alice didn't interrupt everyone and was less stubborn I think she would be more liked.

Chapter 3

In this drawing I drew the characters the ran in the race in chapter three.Personally I think this was one of the entertaining chapters/scenes in the book.The reason I chose to draw them instead of anything else is because this scene is basically the whole chapter just them trying to get dry.Also the character in this scene transport

from the last chapter to this chapter to the next chapter.Also Lewis just finds ways to amuse people.

Chapter 4

The lizard in this chapter was quite confusing to me because I believe he wasn't needed in the book to be honest.The reason I drew him was to see if he did have a purpose to the story.I read over the paragraph to see if I could get a deeper meaning to the story.I couldn't find anything that was rather important but I did find the lizard to be an interesting character.Another reason I drew him was because I really liked the art in the book and I wanted recreate that.

Chapter 5

In chapter finally got introduced to the caterpillar to which I have waiting for a long time in my case.I have been waiting for this part because the caterpillar is supposed to give Alice some good advice.I drew him because I do believe he is an underrated character in the story.He just gives off the scent of being smart and wise.I see the caterpillar like a magician he witty but she still gets the job done and well.

Chapter 6

The Duchess is introduced in this part of the book.I drew the Duchess to see a better vision of her I still used what I had which was a large head and very sharp chin.Drawing her wasn't quite difficult because I didn't like her much so I was really easy to determine what she would look like in real life or a cartoon version.For my version the only thing that changed was her outfit I put my little spin on that.Also I didn't include the child because from what I've read she doesn't really care for it.

Chapter 7

I drew the mad hatter and the only thing that I was confused on was why did he have a date on his hat.The thing I noticed in other chapters that the hatter was quite small in size.I don't know if he shrunk himself and stayed like that forever or if that is just his normal size.Also I enjoyed drawing him because he is also on the top of the list of most interesting characters because of all the things he has going on.When the queen said that the hatter interrupted her concert could have there been more things that might of happened.

Chapter 8

This drawing is a funny story because I thought that the queen would have a big mouth because of all the yelling she says about off with their heads , so I drew her with a big mouth.Also when it came to her style in her dress I just did whatever I thought would suit her best.Her hair was just a style I thought would be best for this time era.I think the the King and Queen add a little punch to the book I think that when Lewis was writing this he was looking for an extra kick and he just made up the King and Queen of hearts.

Chapter 9

I wanted to do something simple yet interesting so I drew Mock turtle.I think he complains too much and just is too sad when he could be happy and running around wonderland in all his glory.I think that he puts all his egg in one basket.He just seems like a helpless whatever he is.the reason why I wanted to draw him was because even though he is a whiny character he adds a little to the story.Only I do wish Lewis included the whole story on why Mock turtle is sad.

Chapter 10

I didn't quite understand why this part of the book had to be mentioned at all because to me it is irrelevant.Also I just noticed that Lewis has put so many child games into his book.I don't know if he wrote in a child state of mind and planed for this to be a children's book.Or is he wrote this book in a child some way and planned this for all ages.Either way he did an amazing job with the lobster game and just being sly about the game.

Chapter 11

This drawing was all me and my imagination, I set aside all the things I knew abut the king and tried to desgin one of my own.When I think of that time in era I think the collar that the rabbit wore but for a grown man.So I drew that on him then I drew a shirt with hearts because he is the king of hearts.Lastly some simple stripped pants.I wanted to see how my Imagination could make up a character that I would think is suitable for the original job.

Chapter 12

The last picture I drew was of Alice waking up in her sisters lap after the whole wonderland events.The reason I drew this because I was very upset on how the story ended and how it was just a cliffhanger in a way.First of all Alice was in the middle of running away, but how does she wake up now and not earlier.What even caused her to wake up in the first place.Personally I think the book could of ended better but then again how do you end a book like this without being too realistic.
