" A large rose tree stood near the entrance of the garden the roses growing on it were white, but there were three gardeners at it busily painting them red." Pg.63
(Q) Why were they painting the white roses to be red roses? What kind of gardeners paint roses a different color? (CL) The gardeners that paint roses a different color from it's natural are five, seven, and two. Five, seven, and two are the gardeners that paint roses a color and paint very messy. (P) I predict that Alice will be looking for the queen but five, seven ,and two don't want to tell her where the queen is at. I think that Alice is going to ask them questions but then they most likely will be rude and won't answer Alice's questions.

" The players all played at once without waiting for their turns, quarrling all the while, and fighting for the hedgehogs and in a very short time the queen was in a furious passion, and went stamping about, and shouting "Off with his head!" or "Off with her head!" about once in a minute." Pg. 68
(Q) Why didn't the queen shout at first when they weren't taking turns in the beginning? (P) I predict that Alice is going feel uncomfortable because the queen started to shout. Alice might think that the people there are very mean and unpatient people such as the queen. I think Alice might be scared to even be there now that she has seen the queen can get angry even more than what she usually seen. (E) I think what the author was trying to say is that the queen is the unpatient one with most things.
