"You'd better not talk!" said five." I hear the queen say only yesterday you deserved to be headed."pg.63

Q Why did the queen say but not do it? Is there somthing more to this? P maybe she needs him for some information. Probably feels sorry for him so decides not to do it.E I think that by talking it increases the chances of him getting headed.Only yesterday means he can't anymore.

"Would you tell me please," said alice, a little timidly," why you are painting those roses?" pg. 64

P they are painting those roses because the queen can't see that they just messed up.If the queen sees this she will be very mad and kill the artist. Q How can they stand working for such a rude person like the queen?R they are most likely forced to work for her. If they don't work for her she will probably kill their entire family.
