" 'Oh dear what nonsense I am talking'...'You ought to be ahsamed of yourself,' said Alice, ' a great girl like you,' (she might well say this), ' to go on crying in this way! Stop this moment, I tell you!'" P. 10

(CL) Alice is scolding herself, and believes herself to be two people. Alice is rather queer. (R) Not many people would do this, I know I don't. (P) Although it seems strange that she pretends to be two people this is probably how she manages to think solve her problems through out the book. (C)As for myself I would have thought things out, because as a result of her crying she never got into the alluring garden. (R) Lewis Carroll has a queer way of putting things because he so rapidly switches the plot. Boom! You have a interesting and queer childrens book!

"As she said these words her foot slipped, and in another moment, splash! She was up to her chin in salt-water."P.13

(R) I love the way Lewis Carroll, in his own unique way he twists up the plot making it a thrill for the reader. I personally would hate to have experienced what she is going through. Water scares me in different ways. For example the fact that I don't know how to swim would terrfiy me at the moment when she is rapidly changing sizes. (P) I think that Lewis Carroll through out the whole book will continue making these rapid plot changes, but thats what keeps this book unique and thrilling. (CL) Through out the two chapters I've read so far, I am continueously taken back to the fact that Wonderland is a land of wonders.
